Quality labels

Gîtes de France

"Gîtes de France" is a national quality label. Accommodation is graded based on a national rating system run by the National Federation of Gîtes de France. The comfort level of rental properties is shown as between one and five ears of corn, based on a number of different criteria. The label is used for the following types of accommodation and services: rural gîtes, guest houses and tables d’hôtes, larger stopover and holiday gîtes, natural areas and farm-based campsites.

Clévancances

Clé Vacances

"Clévacances" is a national quality label. It is awarded to apartments, houses, villas or other character properties that meet certain quality criteria. Properties are rated on the basis of their environment, fittings, equipment, comfort level and facilities. Properties are graded at one of five comfort levels, shown as 1 to 5 keys.

Qualité Hérault

This logo is a registered trademark and identifies professionals who have made a commitment through the quality charter to doing their utmost to welcome, inform and serve you. The label is awarded by the Hérault Chambers of Agriculture, Commerce, Industry and Trade.

Prefectoral classification

The classification of furnished accommodation available for seasonal lets is a compliance procedure based on the Ministerial Order of 28 December 1976, as modified by the orders of 8 January 1993 and 1 April 1997. Accommodation is graded at between 1 and 5 stars. The properties visited are presented to the Departmental Commission for Tourism of the Prefecture, which then issues each owner, through the local town hall, with a classification order awarded for a period of five years.
